Haddon Hall and Chatsworth

First of all, CHECK OUT THE SIGN!!! How funny is that?! We need them in the United States.
In the very courtyard that I am standing in... Princess Bride was filmed and in the newer version of Jane Eyre. This house was used in Jane Eyre (they used the outside for the fire) and we saw pictures of what it looked like, it was pretty fun. This is also The Rose and Crown (for you Nicole... look for special pictures) in Pride and Prejudice (where Elizabeth stays with her Aunt and Uncle and when she receives Jane's letters).
Here's another pic of the house...
This is where Elizabeth's Aunt and Uncle were sitting when Mr. Darcy invites them to Pemberley.
Ummm.... this would be the Jane Letter area!!
This is me! (duh, I know)
Haddon Hall from the gardens in the back of the house
This is a view from the gardens, over a fence.
(Pretend that I am hiding from Mr. Darcy)
This is where Elizabeth hides when she sees Mr. Darcy at the Rose and Crown and doesn't want to be seen.
This is me, Susie and Julia. Julia want's to be a wedding planner and WANTS to do body flowers!! Boy will she learn her lesson! Julia is real cute and spunky, she'll love body flowers until she tries to make one, I even warned her and she still wants to participate.
This is Chatsworth aka Pemberley!!
This is THE porch! Where Elizabeth runs from Mr. Darcy and also where they kiss at the end.
A view from the end of the lake. I'm really excited that I could get this shot, although I would have loved reflection in the pond but oh well.
In the search for the big root tree that Elizabeth and her Aunt and Uncle sit on and eat an apple... we found the largest leaves that I have ever seen!!
Not the tree that we were in search of, but still cool non the less!
Another view of Chatsworth
This is really in the sculpture collection and also used in Pride and Prejudice.
Need I say more?! This is here for real! There is a bunch of pictures of movies that were filmed at Chatsworth (the Dutchess, Pride and Prejudice are the ones I remember but there were others)
This is on the porch, lame picture of the round table, but you couldn't get on the porch, it was private!! This is at the end of the movie, after Darcy and Elizabeth are married and he calls her Mrs. Darcy while they are sitting on it.
This is the great hall where you first enter the house. In Pride and Prejudice you see everyone walk in this room with the checkered floor and the rad staircase and ceiling mural.
The sculpture room where Elizabeth sees Mr. Darcy's bust.
The End of the Pride and Prejudice tour, hope you enjoyed it!

Me, Susie and a few other girls are going to Ireland tomorrow!! We are staying in Limerick and Tralee. Our plans are to go to the Cliffs of Moher and then to the town of Dingle (where the Flaherty's come from). Wish me luck driving on the wrong side of the car and the wrong side of the road! (sorry for all of the !'s but it was necessary for the day of sights.

Bath and Jane Austen Stuff

Here are the Roman Baths, we didn't go in because we were running out of time because Jane Austen was calling...
A cool bridge with water works close to the train station in Bath
If you have seen Persuasion, take note... this is where Anne runs to find Captain Wentworth to tell him that she loves him too! BEAUTIFUL! Love Persuasion! It's called the Royal Crescent because the houses are all in the shape of a crescent and by the way, Nicholas Cage lives in #7
Fly Tipping?? Must be something I don't understand, I don't know how you can tip a fly.
The Royal Crescent... it's so big that I couldn't get it all in one photo.
Me, looking for Captain Wentworth...
A garden just below the crescent, if you look to the left of the picture, you can see it in the background
I want to live here...
This is Nicole and Mr. Darcy!! Looks like she's going in for the kiss!
No clue who this is, we'll call him Mr. Bennett(ish), he's glad to see how beautiful that Nicole is, and.....
Horribly sad to see that she's not here!! He asked if all of the ladies in Utah were as smart as Susie and I to bring a picture of someone who couldn't make the trip. How lovely of him to butter us up to buy in the store! This was at the Jane Austen Center.
Me and the beloved Mr. Darcy
This is for you mom... Hayley Mills' handprints!!
It's too late, I can't remember the name of this Cathedral, it's right by the Roman Baths and really cool looking.
I love these doors!! I know that I am weird and have a fascination with doors. Oh well.
I wish that I could put more pictures on to show you just how beautiful Bath is, but It's real late and I have to be awake in 4 hours so I can go to Chatsworth (Pemberley in the new Pride and Prejudice Movie!!). I'll post tomorrow. I must have been living right to get a day without rain!!

Burghley House, Stamford, Tower of London, Platform 9 3/4

This is the group that Susie has been treking around Europe with. All Interior Design people but me! By the way we are at Burghley House... (in Pride and Prejudice and also Da Vinci Code)
Love the Mini Van! Doesn't it add to the house?!

Inner courtyard, look at the hydrangea plants...
waterlilies in the pond in the garden
this is the view from one of the gardens, look at the bridge too!

ATTENTION: this is for real! I totally pushed this cart through the wall!!
Just kidding!! It's just here for all the Harry Potter fans or even for those who don't understand the movies and haven't read the books so they have to ask their sisters a million questions about the movies. And who has miss haps while going to a free Harry Potter show!!

This is where Anne Boulin was beheaded.
This is a "Beef Eater" (don't ask why because I have no clue)!
Tower Bridge in the background. Not the London Bridge (it fell down and was moved to Arizona!)
