6 Months... But Who is Counting?

AWWW.... He is already so grown up!  It is hard to believe that Ryan has been gone. He is 1/4 of the way done!  He is still the same kid but still has changed alot!   KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK RY!

Ryan has been in Gallipolis through three transfers.  For a while he struggled but in his recent letter he said that  he will probably get transferred this time because he is starting to like it there.  Which is usually how it works!  We probably should have named this blog after Ryan because that is all our posts are, but there isn't much going on in the lives of the James girls.  So we live vicariously through Ryan

The Temple Lights

These next few pictures were taken on January 14th.  The Temple looks really pretty, sorry that the pics are a bit blurry (night photos definitely aren't my specialty).  I think the change is for the better, but still a bit different.  Nicole and I went to take the pictures so that we could send one to Ryan.  We told him that the  lights looked different on Christmas when we talked to him.  He asked us to send a picture, see what a slacker that I am, it's taken about 3 weeks to get the picture and I'm sure another few weeks to get it printed.  Where does the time go?!

These pictures were taken in August when I took pictures of Ryan for his address cards, see what I mean by the light change?

For a little while, we couldn't figure out what had changed at the Temple.  But after a few days of the Temple spires not being lit up, we noticed a difference when they turned back on!  They now have a slightly Golden glow instead of the blue/green lights....

We hope Ry doesn't get any foot problems from wearing the shoes owned by the unknown!!  On the other hand, maybe he has bought these ugly shoes, you know Ryan.

So, no change in address for Ryan.  You can still write him a letter (which he hints at EVERY time that he writes to us) here's his address...

What we've been up to...

We decided to go to Body Worlds 3 while it was in SLC.  For me, I relived every moment of Anatomy class, so it wasn't too big of a deal.  For Nicole (who can't watch some parts of Grey's Anatomy), well... let's just say that she won't be going EVER AGAIN!  I kept my eyes out for her at all times, worried that we would re-live a bad hospital experience when my friend Shelley told her (after she ended up on the floor) that "there's a certain sound when a body hits the ground".  Nicole did well, but she was more of a wall reader than a "get in and look" kind of gal.  Karly and Caitlin thought that it was interesting, not sure how Amy felt about it though.  Now everyone can understand my aversion to Jerky (aka... muscles).  It was quite the night!
